 الوقت كالسيف إن لم تقطعه قطعك    

Time is like a sword. If you do not cut it, it will cut you.

 اجتنب مصاحبة الكذاب فإن اضطررت إليه فلا تُصَدِّقْه 

 Evita la compañía del mentiroso, y si no puedes, no le creas.

literal: Avoid the company of a liar, And if you can't avoid him, don't believe him.

من سل سيف البغي قتل به

- equivalente en español:
Quien a hierro mata, a hierro muere-
He who swings an aggressive sword will be killed by it.

جرح الكلام أعمق من جرح السيوف

- The wound of words is worse than the wound of swords.-

بيْضة اليوْم خيْر مِن دجاجة الغدّ

 literal: "El huevo de hoy es mejor que la gallina de mañana" 

equivalente: más vale pájaro en mano que ciento volando-

الصبْر مِفْتاح الفرج

 literal: "la paciencia es la llave"

كُنْ ذكورا إذا كُنْت كذوبا

-ten buena memoria si eres mentiroso-

ما حكّ جْلْْْْْدك مثل ظْفرك 

-nada rasca tu piel como tu propia uña- 
(nadie mejor que tu mismo, conoce tus necesidades)

لا تكُن رطْباً فتُعْصر ولا يابِساً فتُكْسر

-no seas tan blando que te expriman, ni tan duro que te rompan-

 اتق شر الحليم إذا غضب
- Teme el mal de la persona gentil cuando se enfada.-

English literal would be:
Beware of the level-headed when he is angry.
and the English literal meaning would be:

be aware of the idiot, for he is like an old dress. 

Every time you patch it, the wind will tear it back again.

(nota: halim no es sinónimo de 'idiot' sino de 'gentle')
